NBC hit talent competition The Voice has returned to strong ratings despite recent changes to 2 of the 4 celebrity coaches, which is a boon to ratings starved NBC.
Debuting Season 4 last night with 13.4 Million viewers, audiences seem ready to give new additions Shakira and Usher a chance at finding the next 'Voice'.
Original judges Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green took a break from the show (presumably for only one season) to pursue "commitments to ongoing projects" according to executive producer Mark Burnett.

The coaching change means the new judges are competing against the only 2 current Voice winners, Adam Levine (1) and Blake Shelton (2). We can only guess as to the success the new coaches will realize, but my money is on Adam Levine evening the score.
